Mike Bird

Mike started by training as an architect from 1980 to 1983 and has since been involved with office interior fit out and refurbishment industry. Mike joined the industry as the concept of Design and Build was developing.

With an ability to interpret a design and a good understanding of construction techniques, Mike developed a career as an estimator and project manager delivering projects ranging from £100k to £4.5m over a span of some 25 years.

He has an excellent understanding of how the industry works in terms of creating a fully quantified and all inclusive scope of works. His knowledge of market rates allows him to produce accurate budgets alongside the design process and prior to any tender process. This all provides the basis for effective price negotiation so that we achieve best value for our clients. His attention to detail in the pre-contract stage helps limit risk at all stages.
