After the completion of the Cambridge office in June 2018, we subsequently supported the Costello team with design and project management services for new office space in London in August 2020, and in Manchester in July 2022. The brief for these satellite offices was to support the local requirement while replicating the look and feel of the Cambridge office.
We were tasked with harmonising the experience for all locations so that a member of staff would feel at home wherever they were working. We designed each project to Riba Stage 3 and managed a competitive tender for the works. Both spaces provide open plan office areas, meeting rooms and a breakout area. We also quantified and specified the furniture to match the original specification, and partially supplied it with an open book quotation at a pre-agreed margin. During 2021, Costello began hybrid working and the original design concept has supported this very well. A desk booking systems has been implemented to manage occupancy, and phone booths have been added to help ensure the open plan continues to operate effectively.
