Gamesys (Bally’s) are a leading international gaming software company who relocated from Piccadilly to Berner Street in 2023. We were engaged to project manage the full Cat A and Cat B refurbishment of their new 100k sqft home, over four floors, and were appointed shortly after the Cat A works had commenced.
The previous tenant (Arcadia) had abandoned the building leaving everything in situ, so the first task was to decide if there was anything worth salvaging. After careful consideration and a full conditions survey, it was decided that most of the mechanical installation could be retained and that it was sensible to reuse the desks. The remainder of the existing fit-out and furniture was then stripped out. The works included a new lighting and electrics, a new raised access floor, new toilets and new finishes throughout, and these works were carried out within in a 56-week programme.
Maris had been engaged under a D&B contract for the Cat B works and the landlord agreed to run the Cat A works through the same contract to ensure everything completed in the most timely fashion. Maris had developed a stunning design for the space and supplied many of the new furniture items to support their design. During the latter stages of the project it became apparent that Gamesys needed additional support with the specification for external furniture. We created a 3D model of the area and provided alternative layouts for discussion. The products selected included a variety of settings with benching, planters, lounge seating and illumination, and the manufacturers included Extremis, Hay and Vibea.
