Global Risk & Partners employed us to project manage their impending expansion and refurbishment of Mark Lane in London and it soon became apparent that we needed first to confirm the planning model for the project.
They had previously started to investigate whether they could implement agile working within the City, and the Covid 19 pandemic crystallised the business's appetite to confirm this as a serious proposition. At the height of the pandemic we workshopped senior management, interviewed department heads and e-surveyed staff, and subsequently confirmed that it was indeed possible significantly to reduce the amount of space for their London HQ.
Once this was confirmed, we designed the concept and developed the scheme to RIBA Stage 3, budgeted and tendered the agreed design and project managed its implementation through to completion. The construction design was completed by the successful D&B contractor (Oktra) and we created a sympathetic, detailed specification and budget for a furniture tender. Once Oktra had been engaged they were tasked to propose a value-engineered version of the design which is the scheme that was implemented.
