We were employed by Galliard Homes, the managing agent for St Vincent House in Ipswich, to redesign, tender and project manage a significant refurbishment of 10 floors of 'landlord' space, namely the entrance lobby, toilets, showers, lifts, staircases and communication corridors. Overbury were the successful tenderer for the original scope of works and the project subsequently developed to include a CAT A refurbishment of two floors of office space. The classic 1960s building was used as inspiration for the concept design with a generally monochrome aesthetic softened by teak veneer and splashes of tan and lime green. The toilets were redefined, providing individual floor-to-ceiling cubicles with teak doors to tie in with the common area theme.
